The first Saturday in October will be pull of bell peppers, cauliflower, tomatoes, autumn fruit – pears, apples, plums, as well as the first of this year’s nuts! Have you tried Romanesco broccoli? It is a very interesting vegetable. While its colour suggests that it is related to broccoli, it is actually more closely related to cauliflower. It is great in salads, with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Due to its tougher consistency, it is also suited for roasting.
