The Náplavka Farmer’s Market is opening the 2012 season on Saturday, 4 February. Starting this day, the popular famer’s markets take place every Saturday on Náplavka below Rašín Embankment (Rašínovo nábřeží) near Palacký Bridge. You can expect to find a wide selection of vegetables, fruit, fresh meat from Czech farms, smoked meats from small, family-run butchers’ shops, quality baked goods, classically baked bread, desserts and sweets from the whole Czech Republic, homemade sauerkraut and pickled vegetables, excellent dairy products (also organic), eggs from private and small-scale farms, high-quality chickens as well as refrigerated homemade pasta. Traditional pig-slaughters at Farmer’s Markets Jiřák, Náplavka and Kubáň
Last year these traditional village pig-slaughters were a huge success at city markets. And Prague’s inhabitants proved that they really are interested in them. Our best butchers who offer the best of their production at the markets all year round were carefully selected to prepare the best possible home pig-slaughters for our customers. [more]
Where and when to buy poultry or rabbit at the Farmer’s Market? Free parking on Riverbank and free reservation of geese and ducks from Vysočina. Every Saturday starting 10 September.
Poultry from a free-range poultry farm for those hard to please (for instance chickens cost around CZK 115 per kilogram), every market day available: so-called spring chickens (weight around 0.75 kilograms), ordinary chickens (approx. 1.8 kilograms), ducks, hens and geese. From time to time available during autumn: roosters (capons) and pheasant hens. [more]

Many of our farmers will be introduced to their customers in the action of the Great Challenge Festival. We are partners of the Great Challenge Festival and their idea is identified with us.
