In the week between August 25 and 29, there will be a wide selection of vegetables and fruit at farmer’s market Kubáň.

As you return home from your summer travels, check your pantries and come replenish your supplies. Be sure to get your 5 a day. There is plenty to choose from right now. Try out some traditional or new combinations or recipes. Tomatoes and peppers – traditional Czech lečo! Have it with some sausage from Slaughterhouse Tismice, or some rye bread from Bakery Velíšek. Try to make a chocolate cake from zucchini. Plums and poppy seeds – great plum pie. Summer apples – a great snack.

We have a new seller – Winery V & M Zborovský will bring their wines from the Pavlov region. They will also bring white, pink and red burčák – young wine.
