Come and enjoy a spring weekend with a little Saturday shopping at the farmer’s market at Náplavka. Young chicks and lamb will be brought by the Kojetín farm. You can buy potted herbs – chives, parsley, basil, rosemary or thyme for planting on your balcony.

Náplavka will be covered in flowers – crocus, daffodils, grape hyacinths, pansies – in planters or even cut!

You can also stock up on wild garlic, so you won’t get a spring cold, or you could have delicious wild garlic pesto for your pasta or potatoes.

There will also be a half marathon being run, and between 9:40 and 11:00, the passage for vehicles will be limited around Rašínovo nábřeží. You will get to us normally by foot and we are looking forward to all of you!

On Facebook, we promised that we would give you a few recipes to use your wild garlic in, so here they are:

Pesto from wild garlic and parmesan cheese

200 g of wild garlic
20 ml of flaxseed oil
50 g of parmesan cheese
10 g of sesame seeds
2 g of salt

Wash the wild garlic, put it in a blender together with the flaxseed oil and blend. Add parmesan, salt and sesame seeds. Blend for a few seconds, trying to keep the texture of seeds and pieces of cheese. Put in a glass container, pour a bit of some good oil over it, close tightly and leave in the fridge. This will last several months.

Banana smoothie with wild garlic

2 ripe bananas
100 g of wild garlic
10 g of molasses

Put the bananas, wild garlic and molasses into a blender. Blend until smooth.

Spinach from wild garlic

500 g of wild garlic
1 onion
1 egg
1 PL of flaxseed oil
20 g of sunflower seeds
Himalayan salt
Water

Wash the wild garlic and onion, finely chop them. Put everything into a pan, together with the seeds and salt, cover with water and stew for 20 mins. Towards the end of stewing, add egg and cook. Add oil at the end, do not heat it anymore. Serve with baked potatoes or with another healthy side dish.
