What can the visitors look forward to besides the usual farmer’s market at Náplavka?
Aside from the regular farmer’s market, under the Výtoň clock, you will find flooding of different herbs directly from the best Czech farmers and advice for growing and cultivation. You will see all the favorite classics (chives, mint, sage, oregano, lemon balm, basil, ramsons, arugula, lovage, rosemary, marjoram, thyme, coriander,…) and also the more exotic herbs (stevia, curry, chili, cayenne pepper, lemon thymes, ginseng, ashwagandha, blackberry lily, garlic chives, mushroom spices, French estragon, Greek oregano, catnip and many others). Apart from herbs, you can delight yourself with seedlings of multicolored flowers and succulent plants, seedlings of balcony tomatoes and interesting varieties of roses.
You will be able to try unusual cuisine or taste raw cakes and sandwiches garnished with herbs and flowers. As refreshments, freshly squeezed vegetable or herbal juices or organic matcha tea will be available. And not to forget the wild herbs: ramsons, nettles, ground elder, ground-ivy, dandelion.
We also recommend pure natural herbal or flower cosmetics with the possibility of professional consultation directly with the maker. This tradition of cosmetics making goes back to the times of the first Czechoslovak Republic when famous Czech actresses used to use it.
Whoever loves herbs, food and spring, please come on Saturday, April 22nd to Náplavka under the Výtoň clock, 8am-4pm
